Today, I saw my little buddy Rufous in this pose, which may be my favorite photo of him yet:

In the soft mists of morning, Rufous patiently waits and watches. This is his kingdom:
Several times during the week of the 15th, I was awakened by the morning serenade of the hawks.
On the afternoon of the 18th, I saw them mating.
Nest-building continues at a brisk pace.
